-Taco at the Strange Planet Print Shop.
-Willow making herself comfortable on the couch.
-Toni’s snowy backyard.
-Dan’s sister Rita’s quaint apartment in Jamaica Plain.
-Willow’s first house party.
-Pre-game at Gillette.
-Full ski suits to cope with freezing temps and pouring rain. Totally worth it.
-Being on the field for kickoff and the AFC Championship trophy celebration was unforgettable!
-Clementine sun bathing.
After not going home for the holiday season, we were really starting to miss home. We spent our week in Boston wisely. We got both of our families together for a big brunch and crammed in as much friend time as possible. Dan went to the Pats vs Colts AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium with his best friends Brian and Martin and loved every minute of it. It was freezing cold and raining, but that sure didn’t stop them from having a blast. Toni had lots of family dinners, necessary friend time, and of course a bonding tattoo session with one of her best friends. We know we go home a lot, but how could you not with families like ours?

-Dan’s first hammock hanging attempt didn’t go as planned.
-Please take good care of our Airstream!
We headed to Prescott because of a couple recommendations from friends. We found it to be a pretty ideal place to hang out close to Phoenix for a few days, because we booked flights home for August 13th out of Phoenix. We stayed in the Prescott National Forest and gushed at our campsite each morning. It rained most of the days, but we didn’t let it get us down. We browsed for antiques downtown and let ourselves get our schedules way out of whack… staying up until a spontaneous 5AM diner breakfast more than once after one long movie night and one business brainstorming night. Toni blames Dan for both of those early mornings..but also thanks him for the chocolate chip pancakes and cornflake dipped cinnamon french toast.

-Beautiful drive to Flagstaff.
Even though it was cold and snowy at the Grand Canyon, we couldn’t not go. We left the Toaster at our campsite in Cottonwood, AZ and headed up to the national park for a weekend in a hotel. Dan had been to the Grand Canyon before, but it was Toni’s first time. I think from the look on her face the whole two days, it was safe to say she was pretty blown away. It’s hard to believe something can be so large and beautiful. Truly humbling. After stopping at lots of lookouts and photographing the canyon at all hours of the day, we decided to head out. We were bummed we didn’t have the proper gear to venture into the snow for a canyon hike. Because we cut our second day short, we decided to stop in Flagstaff on the way back to Cottonwood. The vibey little ski town was the perfect pitstop. Coffee, thai date, and a lovely sunset. It tied a nice little bow onto our weekend away.
