-Beach day!
Virginia Beach was where our inner children came out to play. We bought bicycles! Mine (Toni’s) came from a family who fixes up old bikes and sells them on their front yard. I saw it on the side of the lawn and needed to see if it could be mine. I was told to come back the next day and it would be fixed up and ready for me. Dan’s came from a pawn shop where they cut us a good deal on the bike and a longboard for me. I’ve only ridden skateboards…big difference but way easier. The majority of our days were spent riding bikes and longboards, poking our heads into skate/surf shops, playing in huge waves, walking the boardwalk during the Neptune Festival, and watching fireworks which were launched off the edge of the pier. We needed Virginia Beach, I think. We needed to snap back to our young selves and begin to enjoy the little things in life again. Thanks, Virginia Beach. You were great.
-Toni
